Kamchia

A short distance ( 4 kms ) south of Bliznatsi is the mouth of the Kamchia River. One of the most beautiful sights along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. The area has spacious beaches, which stretch from Paletsa (The Thumb) in the north to Cape Black in the south.

There is a small holiday complex  which lies at the mouth of the river, and there is a selection of shops, bars and restaraunts.

The final 40 kilometres of the river are a UNESCO designated area of natural beauty, in places 5 kilometres wide. Here can be found over 40 species of beautiful trees, ferns, reeds, and yellow water lilies, as well as deer, sea hawks, eagles, wild boar and wild cats.

Some people claim that the place is the earths paradise, others a fairy tale place.

The beaches are all of fine sand and slope gently to the sea.

Varna

Within easy reach of  Bliznatsi is the capital of the Black Sea Coast, Varna.

Varna is a city that will suit all tastes, its pavement cafe culture in the summer is a joy to behold, just sit and enjoy a drink or three, a few cream cakes and watch the world and his wife  stroll by.

Or, if that does nothing for you, then take the time to visit one, or all, of the many museums, and don't forget to include the Roman ruins, and the splendid Catherdral.

But, above all, do not miss the Sea Gardens, a green belt between the sea and the city, stretching for many kilometres to the north, full of many attractions.

For those of you who crave some night life, there are many superior discos, and show bars during the summer months.
